Alright, my girls are set to ship tomorrow, shoudl be here by Tuesday at the latest, I have the brooder box built(almost comlete, just have to have the top finished up. Then I am ready to put in the liter/bedding. I am finding many posts here that say cedar and pine shaving are bad.... so what is reccomended? Straw? shredded paper?

I use the bedding pellets. They make a nice stable layer on the bottom of the brooder and they are absorbent. I just scoop out the soiled pellets when needed and add more when needed.

If you're not familiar with what they look like you can look at the first couple of pics on my BYC page.
