Hello!

I've read many articles about frostbite in combs. How can I prevent it? I know many people say Vaseline, but won't it freeze? Here the winters can get very harsh and about -30 degrees Celsius. We keep it dry and we also have a window for ventilation. Is there anything better than Vaseline or is it the best option?
Thank you

Vaseline is the best option as far as I can tell. Last year they fared ok, but the roosters with single combs lost all their points. :( but it is probably because we didn't Vaseline them every day. Tonight we "Vaselined" the combs. The best you can do is but pea combed and rose combed birds. We have those and they fared well last winter.
