What to use to fill gaps around coop base

Hi,

Super new chicken owner here. We're currently building our coop, and trying to use what we have available, so the base of the coop is these concrete pavers. Unfortunately they aren't completely level, so there are some gaps between them and the coop frame. They aren't that big, but I worry that smaller predators could squeeze through them. Does anyone have any suggestions of what I could fill them with please?

In case it's needed: we live in MD, our yard backs on to open fields. So whilst I've yet to see all of the possible chicken predators here, I don't doubt we have lots around.

Thanks in advance!

Not sure what predator could fit through those gaps - but rodents like field mice could probably fit. Thin trim molding might be flexible enough to contour to the pavers along the bottom and is pretty simple. Personally I would probably take the time/effort to extract the pavers and correct the sand base underneath them.

Thanks for your comments! I’ll try and get some more pictures tomorrow, it’s been pretty stormy here the last couple of days so I haven’t been out there. The gaps are roughly the same on the outside as the inside. There’s about 6” of paver around the outside of the coop base, so we could add something there potentially. Ideally yes, sorting the pavers out would be best, but we’re not going to be able to remove the coop frame without possibly causing damage to it so we’d like to find a different solution if possible.
