What to use to make run smell fresh and clean?

you might want to try using a little dishwasher detergent or laundry detergent or maybe even a little bit of distilled white vinegar or get a some pooph spray and use a little bit of that after cleaning out your coop. Oh hey here's an idea for nesting boxes for you if you need any ideas, right now I am using just a few 5 gallon buckets and I just screwed a few pieces of wood to the bottom of the inside towards the front end of the bucket if it's laying down but the top of the bucket if it's standing up well I guess I should say the open portion or part of the bucket just depends on how many chickens you actually have just because we had a lot of chickens so we actually had like 5 of those buckets and now we have lost several so now we didn't even need that fifth one so now we just have four of those buckets in there. if you just do that, put them back in a corner in your coop then they will go in their boxes, lay their eggs, and go on about their day. another really good invention for inside the chicken coop is this: making a couple of little ladders for each of the side walls because if you do that they'll love you forever and they'll love them they will get up on the little ladders at night.three more things before I go you could save your scraps in something if you don't already save them and take them out when you go to get the eggs that way you can close up the door, give them scraps, and get eggs all at one time. another thing is you could actually expand your chicken run if you need to you could also add a little automatic opening and closing chicken door on the outside of your chicken coop going into your chickens run and when you add an extension to your chickens run you can put a little roof type of thing on your extension to your chickens run and then you could just leave your chickens door to their run open so that they can go out to their extended run and still be able to get back into where their food is in the run. another thing is when you go to clean the coop you'll want to put them out in the run and then clean the coop and then when you are done you'll want to make sure to open the automatic door back up so they can go in and out as they please and then if you are wanting to be able to open the actual coop door you could put a metal part of an old metal bed's bed frame longways in the doorway of the coop on some hinges and just attach a latch of some sort onto the other side of the door that does not have the hinges on it and then you can just be able to open up the actual coop door without having to worry about anything getting to it during the day except probably not a piece of wire for the latch because from experience that doesn't quite work too well so well that's all I've got for today

I hope someone can help me.

What products can I purchase and apply or put down in the run to make it smell good and clean? Currently I sprinkle a very small layer of First Saturday Lime then a small layer of some product that is chicken friendly (cant remember the name) that is used to absorb urine in horse stalls. Then I add wooden chips and another layer of First Saturday Lime and the horse product for chickens.. I feel as if I am not doing it right. I dont care how many products that I have to purchase and apply, I just want it to smell fragrant and clean.

Please tell me the names of the best products to use and specifically how to use them. I know that there are a lot of products on the market that claim they are good, but many are not. I am looking for personal successful recommendations based on your experiences.

Thank you so much for any suggestions that you can give me. I appreciate your time and effort!

there's stuff that you can add to your chickens water to keep them hydrated now again I don't exactly know where you live so I can't really say for sure if you guys have an orscheln's farm and home but you can get that stuff at a place like that if you have a place like that near you it is called hydra-hen you just add it to your chickens water and it keeps them hydrated

I use dry leaves as my Deep Litter, both in the coop and the run. I only have 3 birds, but it works very well.
The run never smells bad. I think that's because the birds scratch the bag of leaves down to dirt in about a week, so the run's floor is mostly soft, fluffy dust with a little bit of recognizable leaf bits.
The coop also has a bag of leaves dumped in. It's about 1' deep. The birds don't scratch this around much so it's just a thick bed of dried leaves. Once every couple of weeks I get a whiff of foulness. This is my cue to stir that deep bed of leaves. I focus on pulling the litter under the roost out from under the roost and pushing some of the unsoiled leaves back under the roost. By the time I've fed kitchen scraps and gathered eggs the chicken poop stench is gone. At least for another couple weeks.
