If they disappeared during the day, maybe a hawk or dog. If at night, then owl, fox, raccoon or any other nocturnal animal. Could be almost anything.

Lots of feathers in one spot and bird missing, larger predator that was able to haul it off.

Not likely to be a brooding hen as they don't leave a lot of feathers in one spot.

So sorry to hear of her loss. Chances are she is long gone, but maybe you can figure out through some tracks or traces what might have got her. Luck of luck would find her hiding somewhere mildly scathed.

Good luck.

So sorry! It would be best to keep your birds in their safe coop and run for at least a week, or until you've solved your predator problem. Hawks, and any other critter, will return for more chickens, so keep them safe! Mary

Much like you'll go to the grocery when you get hungry, a fox, bobcat, hawk, etc will stalk your chickens when it gets hungry. I don't recommend running around the country side killing off every fox, hawk, or owl, but when one shows up at your place you need to act, quickly, and with extreme prejudice to solve the predator issue.
