Hi! I've got four bannies pictured above (with a regular welsummer in the last few pics). I was hoping to hear some ideas on their breeds/genders. I think they are all Cochins (the mix was either hatchery choice or assorted Cochin, feedstore wasn't very clear on that). They all have feathered feet and are about a month old. The brown one I am guessing is a partridge, and the white a white. I was also thinking mottled or penciled for the black spotted one. The black and white one (half and half) has really weird coloring, and I can't find another chick like him online. His comb is also turning rather red, so I think he is indeed a he. I tried to nab some good shots of their combs. The white and brown are the most feathered, with the white almost completely feathered except for her head. The other two are lagging behind on back and body feathers.

For the Welsummer, I was hoping to get a guess on gender. She is supposed to be a she, along with a Blue Laced Red Wyandotte (who would not cooperate for a picture!). It's probably too early to tell for them both, but if you could list out some characteristics I can look for over the next two months specific to those breeds to tell gender? The feed store will be getting another round of Welsummers and Blue Laced Reds in May, and if these two are males, I'd like to pick up two more chicks. They are currently 2 weeks old. I've also got a week old Cuckoo Maran (I actually had two, but one didn't make it), and the same thing goes for her:, any possible things to look out for which would signal a male would be very helpful so I can plan on another chick in May if I need to :)

I've been raising chickens for a few years, and I have two light Brahma bantams and two Leghorn (one white, one dutch) adults. This is our first round of chicks in about 4 years though and this is our first time raising bantams from chicks.

Thanks!

i think you are right but i want the white ones it so pretty also does its feather turn backwards i cant tell form the pics

Nope, the all-white one's feathers don't turn back. We originally thought they were though! She is really pretty, so we're hoping she stays a she! The white and black one who we think is a he, his feathers might be curling back. He looks really disheveled right now
