what type of birds do you have,how many and what age

I'd say you all have a VERY reasonable amount of birds! In the UK we don't have as much space and currently I have 9 RIR (crosses) and they are approximately 2 years old (ex batts). Unfortunately we lost the purple chook a few months ago (never chose names and went off their leg rings).

I have 34 chickens right now 2 roosters, one is a barred rock,

is he a mean rooster because once I had one and he was very mean.one day he got out and chased my brother and my dog finally scared him of. his spurs were sharp and heart when he got you but he is not with us any more so...

He is not a year yet so we will see but so far he is great! Does good with the girls get his amount of butt! Alerts when there is a predator (mostly just doves flying by ), also alerts when there is food! Watches the girls and makes them go in the coop at night. He lets me feed him from my hand but not pick him up and pet him. He seems very great so far!

I have 70 chickens (not counting 35 broilers), 3 turkeys, and 9 ducks. I'll be getting rid of some roosters and drakes though, so the numbers will go down a little bit (until I add more later this year).

Wow! that is a lot of chickens...definitely going to share that info with my husband who thinks 9 chickens and 4 ducks is excessive

Someone had a rooster at fair like that. A guy can and stuck his hand in the cage and stared hitting him. He is gone now.
