That's a fair guess, but this cross would produce both single combed and rose combed offspring (If I remember correctly) :) The bird in question has a very poorly shaped pea comb. Rose combs would be a little lower lying and more condensed
 
I'm sticking with dark Cornish, or at least a Cornish cross. Has to be with a face like that. Straight up Cornish face
 
They just look so much like dinosaurs to me.. Like chicks that are feathering but not on their heads yet. Cornish don't have a lot of feather fluff to mask their very raptor like faces the way some other breeds do. They don't soften as they get older... They keep the same severe Cornish face...
