They are 8 weeks old. When I bought them from a supply store they said silver laced something..... I'm thinking Plymouth Rock? Heck I don't know, I'm knew to the chicken life. Lol.

Anyways those are definitely NOT laced! I'd say get your money back if you don't want them. Those are PROBABLY barred Plymouth rocks like you said.

Ugh! As I feared, I was misled. I just need eggs and a somewhat docile personality...since I have young kids. What are these chickens known for?? They are only 8 weeks and seem skiddish.... I've tried to domesticate them the best I can.

They're fine birds. The rocks I have tend to be skiddish, but most birds are at a young age. This is the perfect time to get them calmed down.
I suggest catching one at a time and carry it around a few hours at a time all day with you. If you do this often for a couple days maybe a weekend, they should DEFINITELY get used to you pretty quick!
