Halo, I have a roo that looks just like yours! I love all the coloration that they have brown, grey, black, white, yellow...it's like a rainbow bird!! Lucky us lol.

I think the EEs are so beautiful, both in color and personality..and the eggs are always a special treat.

I worked on my EEs for several years, enhancing better egg color and ensuring a variety of plumage and heavy muffs/beards on them. Using pure Ameraucana blood lines really helps to enhance their beauty and keep them closer to their counterparts.

Halo - thanks so much for posting pics. They look great! I miss Oreo and his ladies so much. I am so happy to see someone carrying on with their offspring and enjoying them as much as we did.

I would say it is an ee cross, heres a pic of a half golden comet,half aracuana,that looks remarkably similar to yours,this is my favorite roo.

Mark - an EE is a cross..that's why it's called an EE. Your comet X araucana is a perfect example of an EE and very handsome. I really like the red pyle coloring.

LOVE the EE photos! I think the EE's are some of my favorites out of my bunch! I just had a couple hatch 10 days ago, and I still just can't believe how cute the chicks are.

I have seen several pictures of EE that are tan and blue, that I just love. So I bought some pure Ameraucana chicks from Pips&Peeps to try to make my own EE that are that colors. I can't wait to see what I get. The only problem I think that I have, is that out of 22 chicks, all but 1 are pullets. I ended up with 1 roo, and it is white, so it is not going to be the right color for my project, so I am going to have to get more chicks.

They look like easter eggers, Mongrel chickens, the ones in the second pic look like bantams crossed with Ameraucana somwhere down the line
