Are they all one type? Different types? Are they sexed?

TSC typically carries a large array of chick breeds. They almost always have Rhode Island Reds and Leghorns, though with straight-run chicks that are sold by class instead of a breed, you can get almost anything. Two years ago, we bought three Cornish Rock/Leghorn crosses (we think). Chicks like the Reds are usually sexed, and they often will have a box labeled 'Red Pullets.' This means that the pullets look red, but are not RIRs. If you see any banties in there, though, don't pick them. They're not supposed to be there; that means the store is trying to keep the boxes full. We ended up with two buff Japanese bantams, one of which was a roo. However, TSC is still a very good place to buy your chicks, especially if you're not looking for show-quality birds.
