What type of coop?

I'm new to raising chickens and need ideas on coops. I have 5 rhode island reds and want to hve them free-range. Was wondering if anybody had any ideas on what style and how big of coop I might need.

Style of coop is entirely up to you. It depends on your location, weather, space etc. Check out the coop section of BYC for ideas. Generally recommended space is: 4 sf per chicken in the coop. 10 sf per chicken in the run. You can do with less if you free range.
