What type of dirt to buy to put in a bin for a dust bath?

AKA : LIME and SAFE for chickens

DE and lime are not the same thing at all. it's very important not to confuse the two. you can use agricultural lime to kill odors, but it will not provide the same benefits as DE.

Lime? Huh?

what you never heard DE called Lime ? Thats exactly what it is . and it says it on the 50 lb. bag and also Says " diatomaceaous Earth ".

lime is calcium carbonate or any mineral containing large concentrations of calciferous mineral. DE is mostly silica. are you perhaps thinking of dolomitic limestone rather than diatomaceous earth?

LOL...Give me a break, I'm still new to the lingo...They were in the run. I thought you have a chicken house and a coop, instead of a coop and a run.
