What type of dog food should I feed my new Great Pyrenees puppies?

Not sure if you noticed on that site but Innova was scored by the site as A+ and 4Health is one of their recommend brands.

My brand only gets a grade of B so, maybe I need to shop around a bit more.

I am following up to this today because I am wondering how many lbs of raw meat/bones/organs i will need to feed all my dogs in a year. My son got a really nice size doe last week and I have a nice start for raw feeding. Deer season is still in and he could easily get what we need to raw feed. So if anyone knows what the average we will need for two Great Pyrenees and two 14 lb Lhasa's I'd appreciate it.

I don't want to harvest any more than we will use. I am feeding dry food still right now and have not totally figured out how I am going to fit raw feeding into my schedule. I have a hard time getting dinner on the table for the humans at this rate. Gosh I can't wait until I have my homestead established. It takes a long time to raise baby chickens, ducks, geese and train new LGD's all at the same time.

ETA: I found it 2-3 % of weight per day. Now I know what to do with any roo's my broody's hatch out.

i definatly reccomend 4-health, kirkland or diamond (NATURALS line only) if your looking for a good food with a GREAT price point.
there not the "best" foods on the market, but the first ingredient is meat, and theres no byproduct corn or soy...
and i just paid $28 for a 40b bag of diamond naturals....when compared to the price of purina ect...cant beat it!

raw is always going to be your aboslutly best choice...but when thats not an option i usually suggest the above 3 foods for people looking for a deacent food on a tight budget

the better the quliaty of food, the less the body wastes so the less the dog has to eat!

IMO - If you are doing an over the counter dry, I agree with others to go with the 'large breed' version. To make it short and sweet, it doesn't push bone growth so fast. That can be a problem in the larger breeds if they try to develop too quickly. Whatever you choose, go with the best you can afford.

On the lighter side, those pups look like cotton balls! Wonder what they look like wet? LOL!

I bet it takes a long time to get the soap out after a bath.
