What type of feed?

My chickens are almost 4 months old. When do I change their feed from grower to the other type (lay egging feed?)

You can wait till they start laying or 18-20 weeks, whichever comes first.

an issues with mixing the left over of grower with laying mix once they start laying?

You can do it half and half at first to ease them into it, then just go straight layer.
