Hi
I have a mixed flock 16 hens and 8 chicks that range from 2 to 3 months in age. The chicks consist of 4 pullets 1 Orpington cockerel and three Croad Langshans I'm still not what they are. I've been buying separate foods for the chicks and hens and it's almost time to purchase more. Qestion is there one type of food I can buy that contains all the nutrients they all need or do I need to keep buying separate food for them? I will not be separating.
Thank you
T.

Some sort of all-flock (can also be called flock raiser, hatch to hen) or grower should be fine for a mixed flock. Provide oyster shell on side for layers and mixed sizes of grit.

:welcome

I feed non medicated 20% starter grower to my whole flock, with oyster shell in a separate container for the laying hens. I have 21 week old pullets to 3 year old hens in my flock that is kept together. Feeding the same feed to all of them all the time, makes it easy.

You can use All Flock, Flock Raiser, Non Medicated Starter Grower. These feeds are usually 18 - 20% protein. Make sure you have oyster shell in a separate container, for the laying hens. They know when they need it and the non layers won't bother with it to much.

X4 for Purina Flock Raiser crumbles. It made my life much easier since I have a mixed flock also (chicks, old birds, young birds, rooster, production birds, duel purpose, etc). Oyster shell and grit on the side for the big birds and your good. I also ferment it as a supplement/treat for the flock every morning.
