What type of paint is safe to use inside a coop?

Any paint that flakes, they will definitely pick at and maybe eat. I used bulls eye primer with no paint for inside and bullseye and exterior house paint for the outside. Bullseye yellows over time exposed to the sun but it's fine inside. Best primer made. Used it on wood, metal and plastic with perfect adhesion. Dries like armor. Try and chip or peel it.

Good point about the paint under the vinyl...I hadn't thought about that! Well, that saves me some work! Barn paint makes sense, and so does interior latex...but I'm wondering how durable the interior paints would be? Also, where do they sell paint made for barns?

Low VOC paint might be a consideration.
