what type of polish chick is this?

I think they're a cool color for polish too... I have 3 of the black white crested, I would love to have a buff!

I believe it is Ideal Hatchery's "Red Crested Red" experiment. See the black lining on the eyes? Buff Laced Polish don't have that, and they will feather out solid buff and white.
