What type of sand do you use for a dustbox?

I use decomposed granite. Dirt cheap and the birds love the stuff. Very easy to remove poo or other birdie artifacts.

I don't know exactly what the name of it is, but in my dirt bath for the teens I use the sand that looks like brown sugar. It is real fine and real soft. They love playing in it.
