I have read that onions and garlic are not safe to feed ducks so I stay clear of those. I pretty much feed my ducks any fruit or vegetatble. However, I have found they do not like winter squashes as much. They devour all greens (kale, spinach, grass, weeds, herbs, etc..). They also will eat anything in the brassica family (cabbage, Brussels sprouts, cauliflower, etc...). They also like peas, berries, tomatoes, cucumbers, and melons. In order for them to eat fruits like apples, they need to be cut very small. Pretty much any fruit or vegetable not moldy that I would normally compost I give to the ducks. However, I have never fed them potatoes and probably won't. They naturally stay clear of them in my garden and probably for a reason. They are drawn to the other vegetables!
