That's going to be normal after being attacked, If he doesn't have any serious wounds he should be fine.

It's hard to tell what attacked him, do Canada geese hang around your pond? Most likely it will be back, Is there any way you can get those ducks in a safe area away from the pond?

sometimes geese come but not often. they have to be in the pond during the day but are in a small coop at night (it’s big enough for them to sleep in but they don’t like to be kept in it all day. my parents wouldn’t like me to have the cooped up because they’ll quack and annoy the neighbors
