i guess it's just something they do. i'll find out which hatchery it is tonight for y'all. Kinda crazy if you ask me.

they make their money on the pullets. Besides, the boys would just be "disposed of" so why not give them away. Saves the hatchery the cost of getting rid of them.

Sides, I think this is the proverbial "gift horse". If you can use them, why not?

It makes no sense to me to do that to animals. Why not offer them for free to someone who raises their own meat? How sad.
