What was it?

I made the mistake first night I bought a flock block and left it in their run. They were locked in coop and run was closed, but that s*** dug at it through my fence! I bring it in every night now.
I have bucket feeders, and I have caps for them so that predators and rodents can’t get in them. My runs, except for one, are all enclosed. I’ve not had a Problem with predators until about a month ago...I lost my Splash that I had just gotten 3 days before. And now Fred!!

Wait, Noise in the back yard? What kind of noise? Just the roo making a big racket as he was attacked, or were there other animal sounds? I was wondering if it could have been an owl, that couldn't carry the roo away, and got scared off by something.
We didn’t hear anything, neither did my dogs...or they would have let me know. The coop is maybe 150 ft away. It was apparently a silent kill.

I live in Florida and here we have a lot of coyotes among other predators. I have several game cameras on my property. I get a predator on one of the cameras most nights. A coyote behind some of the coops last night.

I live in Florida also, I have a trail camera and some traps I plan on putting out tonight. I’m about 20 miles south of Jacksonville, in Bayard...where are you?

My coop is on the outside of my run, but it's raised. Wow that sucks, especially after that short time.
