I am letting my chickens into the garden for the first time to enjoy some bugs. Wondering if there are weeds that might be dangerous for them to eat? I live in Walla Walla WA.

We have oleander here in California which is toxic. Hemlock is also harmful.

Anything that's bad for us is bad for them. Including various types of wild mushrooms.

I got lupines growing like weed on my lawn, and I have observed chicks taking a nibble from them. They seem to understand quickly that it's not eatable though.
Chickens have a good sense for what's poisonous or not, even if they've never foraged before.
If you want to be sure, look it up and remove it. Hey, it's weed so no harm done getting rid of it, right? Did a quick search and found this, it shows the poisonous ones vs their doppelgangers: http://www.oregonlive.com/travel/index.ssf/2016/05/can_you_identify_the_poisonous.html
