i had 18 eggs in the incubator at 20 days 1 hatched with yolk sack still attached i did not hear peepping or see movement so i was told to wait since we were still on lockdown other than removing the dead chick that hatched to early. temperature and humidity was correct through out incubation. i was told to wait another week in the event that my hand turning the eggs had slowed development (turner broke) i stopped turning at the usual time .

so a week later past the estimated hatching date i opened an egg at the large bottom where the air sac is, all 17 chicks were fully formed but dead, the membrane separating the chick from the air bubble was breached by there beak or foot in most cases but it didnt appear they had even tried to get out of the egg past that and as i said i didn't hear anything except for one time and i couldnt be sure if it was a peep or my imagination because i didnt hear it but once. some of the chicks still had visible yolk sacks. none of the eggs were excessively moist or dry. but there was no heart beat, in one instance it looked like the chick had gotten to big for the egg and broke its own neck. it was apparent they had been dead for at least a day or 2.

what can i do next time to improve my chances of a healthy hatch?
i was hatching phoenix's, showgirls and silkies

first chick as i said hatched with a yolk and was active for a few moment before he simply stopped breathing and died in the bator

Is sounds you have humidity problem first 18 day himidity 45-50 55-60 for the last 2-3 day i alway lock down day 19.
If you himidity so high the chick grow so big and not able to break the egg shell and die in the eggs.
