I was so excited when my Premier 1 poultry net came today. I fenced off a section of backyard for my 8 week BO chicks to experience the outside world. Now, I didn't have the charger on it, but figured if I was supervising, the fence was enough. WRONG! in less then 5 minutes all 5 were out of the fenced area. I live near a highway, escapees are not good. How can I keep the little buggers inside the fence until they are too big to get thru. Hubby is NOT going to be happy.

Food isn't an issue. There is ample grass, plus I took their food and water with them when we want on our field trip to the backyard...

Fencing needs to either physically restrain them, or carry a shock. If the chicks can easily slip through it, you have to make some changes. NOT charging the electronet encourages critters to slip through it, with very bad consequences when it is turned on. Go back to the Premier catalog, and/or call them for advice. Mary
