what would a welsummer/marans mix be like?

Hi,

I'm having a terribly long moult in my flock right now except my welsummer hen who is faithfully laying every other day. I'm thinking about hatching her eggs since she is being so reliable. she is with a cuckoo marans rooster. can anyone suggest what the chicks might be like or who they would take after? how good would the hens lay and would the roosters be the size of the marans (would want to eat them).
