Glad you joined us! If you want really good layers, Leghorns, Red or Black sex-links, or other commercial hybrids would work well. Or you could add some variety to the flock with slightly poorer layers (still great birds to have around, though), like Rhode Island Reds, Plymouth Rocks, Wyandottes, Orpingtons, and Australorps.

We're glad to have you. If you want an egg a day, Black or Red Sex-Link, or Leghorns would be good choices.
