You should put out a trap because whatever did this will definitly return for more free dinner. Just be careful, racoons are vicious and are very often carriers of rabies.

i think i will and if it happens to be my neighbors cat at least ill have somthing to laugh at! seeing how he did eat one of my escape quails about 6 months ago!

I would also put hardware cloth around the bottom of your run, to keep raccoon hands away from your birds.
