What would happen if...

What would happen if I crossed my PB ayam cermani rooster with my BlackRocks?

Do your Black Rocks have yellow shanks or Black Shanks? For sure the F1 pullets from that cross will inherit the Black Skin/Comb, be like Cemani but much larger. The roosters may inherit white/yellow skin with red combs.

I would say, that is a good way to produce Larger, more productive Cemani looking birds

What's a shank?
To describe them
Red comb
Black beak
Black feathers with the normal orange around the neck
Black legs
Black toe nails
Lay brown eggs
Not sure on skin color

Shanks are the chicken bare portion of the legs.. If they are all black(Black Plymouth Rocks call for yellow legs) then chances are that all of the F1s will have black skin, but males will tend to have purplish/dark red face when they mature, but the hens will keep the black face

Same thing, Ayam Cemani/Silkie/Any Fibromelanotic base rooster cross with hens that have light shanks will produce Black Skinned hens and light skin roosters
Ok and just out of curiosity what would happen if it was the ayam hen with a leghorn rooster
Is it just the opposit?
