I just want to pose a hypothetical question as I am not an incubator/hatcher. Would an egg with multiple yolks ever be successfully fertilized and hatched? The reason I ask is that in the egglaying forum a woman had an extremely large egg with minimum 2 yolks (possibly 4?!). I just started wondering... what IF?

What is the prevailing wisdom on this? Thanks, BYC'ers!!

I saw a video on Youtube of a lady helping twins hatch from a double yoker egg. It was really cool to watch and both chicks survived.

Yes it is possible but very unlikely. There are lots of past threads on here asking the same question. Check out this video. If I'm not mistaken it is a fellow BYCer.
