Well Rancher I'm a mom and I pretty much agree with you. My oldest daughter is 19 also and I really don't have a problem with putting a number although I prefer to just have them email me back not call. But after that you should've hung up, not agreed to a changed meeting place, etc.

From what I can see, you did everything right so just ignore the negativity. This situation isn't the time or place to criticize what you did or didn't do.
I'm surprised the Police couldn't do anything and actually told you to go to a different station. But they're weird like that sometimes.

Either way, I'm glad you're safe and practiced good measures in the first place to keep yourself safe.
