Easter Egger that is dominantly white with blue/black splotches of color? Is there even a name for this kind of pattern? or would it be considered just "leakage of color" or something like that?

Most of my EE chicks from this year are colored this way and it would be nice to know what they're called and if they would breed true to this coloration if I breed them to eachother later on.. It's very pretty. :)

Thanks!

I had a white leghorn roo over a brown pattern EE and all chicks were white with just 2-3 black spots. Chances are, one of the parents carries the dominant white gene. There's no specific "color" name for it.

Okay, so it is just leakage?
If I breed one of the spotted roos to the spotted pullets will their chicks be solid white or still have the spotting?

Assuming normal genetics, you'd get 25% white, 50% spotted/leakage and 25% the original color (whatever resulting EE).
