What would you call this rabbit?

This is my doe who just kindled on the 19th. The folks I got her from said she's NZ//Cali/with some satin mixed in, does that sound right?

What color would you call her?

Also, here's her batch of kits from a broken black (?) Cali/NZ mix, he looks exactly like the black and white one with the dark black stripe down the back on the bottom right of the picture.

Color-wise, I'd call your doe a Sable Agouti.

Since the baby in question appears to have light colored insides to its ears, I suspect that it may have the Agouti rather than the Self pattern. If that is the case, you may find that it is a Broken Chestnut rather than a Broken Black (the light-colored middle band on the body hairs may not be visible yet because the hairs haven't grown long enough to show it). Of course, with the mixed parentage that those babies have, there is the potential for quite a number of head-scratching color possibilities!

Sweet babies! Are these pets or for meat?

I have a pet mini lop, black & white broken coat with blue eyes. He is gorgeous and a real pistol.

Both, to be honest, I intend to sell the babies to whomever would like them as pets first. And then process the rest at some point. I've also got some that want a few to add to their breeding stock locally, as well.

Right now I've got 3 does and 1 buck. (Plus all the babies).

These babies are precious.
Will you post pictures as they grow?
I'd love to see what they end up looking like.

I'll try to post a thread for each litter! But it'll be a few days to get it done

I do also have a Facebook Page I've been updating nearly every day!

It's called Backyard Beginnings, feel free to search for it and like it, if you want! :)

Here's this litter today, without the littlest gray, who I put with a brand new litter of 4 hoping it will eat more.
