I did toss them as the longer they sit the more chance they would have of becoming rotten, plus I don't want to spend MORE money on this unsuccessful hatch. I did keep up with her right from the moment they did not arrive on time so I would hope she would take my word. This is a small community. It would become evident very quickly if one were scamming to get free eggs.
Krista, I am glad most of your poor hatches were replaced. That seems the 'right' thing to do, esp when it isn't the buyers' fault. I remember when you got that box that was practically destroyed.
The breeder finally got back to me and was really nice. She said she would be happy to send more eggs for the shipping. She offered now or spring and I chose spring.
I am very happy and will certainly remember this experience as a seller when and if I ship eggs.
