four acres, two of which are leased out, some of which is yard, and the rest is old gravel and pavement from a farmyard?

We have next to no pasture...but I want more critters.

We have three Nigerian Dwarf wethers that mow our lawns. I'm thinking of a chicken tractor of broilers if our tenants don't mind. Are there critters that don't mind being at least partially on gravel/pavement? Other than more chickens...which I know someone will suggest.

anything with hooves. would naturally wear them down.

turkeys, as long as they have access to the grassy areas also. midget whites would be perfecto!

We like turkey.
Hmm...how much space would a turkey need in a run area?
Do they need coops at night, too, or can I make a shed out of corrugated metal?

Unlease the other two acres!!

I have 7.75 acres that are 600 miles away from me and that I'll never be able to use unless we get an upturn in the economy... and that will never happen.

I could just envision one of those big round barns with little runs going out in every direction... with a central feeding and water capability... oh never mind... just dreams.

They're happy dreams!
Those two acres bring in much needed income, especially now.
It's a great property, but there's limits to what we can have.

I've been told I can put slop buckets in the school cafeterias to feed a pig, so we may need to investigate electric fencing and a piggy shed.
