What would you do?

This is always a fun topic.

If you won a major lottery, what would you do with your winnings?


Personaly If I won the lottery, I would pay off my minimal debt, take care of my mother. Purchase a large piece of property, have two houses at iether end, give my mother one to raise my little brother in, and try my best to be self suficiant. I would not buy a bunch of crap that I do not need. I would not throw money around carelessly, and I would keep quiet about my winnings. I am sure that I would have a few horses, and a very large flock of chickens and ducks. lol "I've turned into a farm bird nut lately." If I was able to buy property large enough, I might even let my sister and nephew live on site as well. I would set my daughter, nephew, and little brother up with funds for the schooling of their choice. And just generally take care of my own.

Can you tell that I have this planned out?

So what would you do?

Buy a house with A LOT of land, get cars that actually run right, put my kids through school, pay off my mom's house, build the Taj Mahal of chicken coops, go to Vegas for one heck of party, then come home and relax.

Basically, I would want to buy a place that had enough room for family and critters, where we could be as self sufficient as possible.
But I would also want to help family out in any way I could to make things easier for them.

I think being as self sufficiant even on a budget is important. Unfortunatly where I live, most people wouldn't know what to do with themselves if they had to live off the land for even a week. It's kinda sad.

I would buy 500 acres, and live right in the middle of it. Share with my kids; set my grandkids up for life, get MORE Alpacas and Chickens, and goats and dogs and then get MORE Alpacas and Chickens and goats and dogs . . .probably let my kids vote on who gets this house . . .its not bad, just needs some cosmetic work done inside. I would help people without them knowing, and keep it quiet that I did, although there is something about having to tell I think . . .if its a big one. Nice dream.

Pay off the small amount of bills that I have. Help my parents out. Quit my job and use the money to get me through college. SAVE SAVE! I love saving. I can be a hog sometimes! Probably buy a small place with 10 acres for my horses and chickens!

Go back to college myself.
