My kids have collected up 100s.....100s of feathers, they THINK they need to save. Think I will look through them and see what I can add to my swap. We have pretty laced feathers, Guineas & young peacock feathers.

I use mine for crafts but for higher end projects unfortunately they need special care to protect the feather and keep it from fading. Craft store feathers usually have been taken from a bird raised just for that purpose. I don't like the life taken just for that (I believe their quality of life is lower than battery birds) so I tolerate lower quality in my feathers but I am moving towards a few in special living conditions to produce grade A feathers without the loss of life. Keep them in a ziplock in the freezer with a dash of Borax.

Come on swappers! I'm starting to look for eggs again since I can order my incubator parts. I'm going to add a few more of my good aprons for side swaps too.

I can make you one. It was just what I have laying around. I can leave a channel inside for rice too so it will stay put better. I can't leave the rice in it here or the mice run off with it.
