No, it is not scented. The soap used in it is scented with essential oils, but when mixed with the other 2 ingredients the scent is not really noticeable. Yes, you have to stir it or shake it up really good before you use it. I is kinda "coagulated" looking like tapioca pudding. Some people put it in a used detergent bottle and shake it, I just put it in a 5 gallon bucket and stir it with a wooden spoon. It is kinda weird looking, but that's one of the "ungreen" additives that they put in detergent to make it stay together. (so I've heard, not really sure about the facts on that one).
