CHICKEN CARE STARTING OFF # (srry no pics)
_COOP'S_( AND BEDDING)

ya.gif
First off you need to aquire a hen-house with about, 3-4 square feet per leghorn {or other chicken.} It can be made out of wood or sheet metal is fine, with either wood shaving's or hay. Any kind of bedding works fine with my girls. Second, the house needs
to be elevated off the ground 1 up to 5 feet works best. also include perches at diff levels!

_FOOD & WATER_

The best feed of all in my mind is, BLUE SEED FEED tm and KENT FEED tm. But a home-made mix of corn, wheat, all seeds, and fruit + veggies and milo is nice also.
With water you need to have a flat-top tub the size of a piece of paper. Make sure your water is not frozen in winter or with ice chunks in it. Or your chickens might get frost-bite on their combs.

_HEALTH CARE PLAN_

If your hen or roo (roster) have tumors or other severe illnesses with no-know cure, or treatment, it's best to either risk their life getting it removes $$$$ (just saying) or the other option includes putting .... it .... down... .. pretty harsh right? Well you cant eat it. but unless you want your chicken to suffer until it's soon-to-come-death. It's the best option. Anyway about basic chicken care, smaller problems can be taken care of with a few trips to the vet and med's.

_CHICKEN KINDS_

The best kinds are almost 100 so i am naming three good breeds.

LEGHORN* the best egg-layer in possibly the entire chicken world, friendly non-agressive small 10 pounders good climate wise, and pretty little thing.

BUFF-ORPINGTON* This chicken is VERY cold hardy, good egg layer's and friendly.

RHODE ISLAND RED* The (red) is fantastic egg layer's! and cold/heat hardy! But it comes with a price, these birds are VERY agressive.
