What your body does to you when you are asleep

I got home last night after about 7 hours of digging an weeding my allotment with one of my shoulders aching. So what did I do when I went to sleep:? I kept waking up with the right arm (right shoulder hurting more) over my head!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! over and over again I like that so today my arm was really aching. Just why did my body Sabotage me like that?

Sometimes I wake up with odd scratches in weird places, like on my legs or abdomen. I mean, I thought I liked myself well enough but apparently sleep me feels otherwise!
