My chicks are 9 weeks old today and I still have a 50lb bag of 20% chick starter should I trade it in for 24% or is it ok to keep feeding them the 20% until it is gone.

Hey, windyacre....the chick starter is fine. Are your birds going to be eventual laying hens? If they are then I would keep with them on starter or even a lower (18%) feed and then transition to layer when they begin to lay. If they are meat birds the 24% will be fine as it is likely a meat bird formula. But one bag of 24% certainly won't harm your 9 week old chicks.

Thank you, Yes they are going to be laying chickens. I have heard of people messing up the poultry by giving them the wrong % of food.
