What?!?

Thanks for the info. It’s okay either way. I wanted to try and find a green and a blue egg layer that were friendly birds.
I agree, EE's are great birds to own. My four are a little on the shy side, but have a gentle personality. If you want specifically blue layers, check into Whiting's True Blues and maybe Cream Legbars. I've had several of both. They've all been sweet and their eggs are a beautiful blue.

Maybe they are calling it "Americana" (a made up breed) to mislead people to think they are getting "Ameraucanas". Easter eggers are lovely. They start to lay early and give big blue or green (or pink or brown - but most hatcheries select for greenish) eggs very regularly. They are my first to start laying, last to molt and stop in the fall, and first to start back up in spring. I love them :)

Sweet! We went back and got some. As long as they’re friendly and healthy I’m happy. Green or blue eggs would be awesome! Time will tell.

Adorable! Australorps and EE's are both great birds to have in your flock! Is it the older one the bird in your avatar? Looks like a Buff Orpington.
They were all supposed to be RIR pullets but they all look different from my adult RIR. The first picture she’s on the top middle. She has a curly tail, black on her neck and white in her body.

the second picture she’s to the far right. What breed do you think?

Americana, and other spellings, are just substitutes for Easter Eggers.
Unless chicks are labeled as Ameraucana, as well as a specific color, they are EEs.
They can be any color, lay any color of eggs, (although green, blue, and pink are more likely) and can have muffs or not.
