Hens go broody when you don’t want them to… and won’t go broody when you do. 
LOL! So today I found a place where I could sit a watch my hens lay their eggs! My BSL was in the hen house and I was watching her. She was in there and I was watching her for a good 1/2 hour - 45 min. So she gets up (randomly) and leaves. I thought for sure she would have laid an egg! So I go look in the nest to figure out I'd been sitting there....for nothing...She already laid and was just sitting there relaxing..
