I've always considered it a burger served without the bun and gravy and/or mushrooms/onions instead of burger toppings.

That is why it gets gravy and mashed maybe a few bread crumbs.

That's what I thought....the 'steak' part is rather misleading.

Eggs with avocado doesn't appeal.
I love them eaten with a spoon right out of the skin...
...or smashed onto toast with a sprinkling of red pepper.

To each their own. I didn’t think so either, but my daughter put a fried egg on avocado toast and I liked it.
