Whatcha Making for Supper?

I did buy some big ole T-bones just to ring in 2021.

Nothing more exhilarating than putting on your winter boots, and grabbing the tongs to flip the steaks.

We had a new years shish kabob on the grill one year. Darn tasty when you gotta earn your supper.

One of my more memorable grilling experiences...hunched down and holding an umbrella over a hibachi to cook burgers. The burgers were delicious and I was soaked.

Ok you all talked me into it!

I looked and am out of mushrooms so I may end up doing a zippy fast run to the store. Cannot possibly make those steaks and not have mushrooms.

Well I did the store run. It was a ZOO in there!
I got my mushrooms. There are some nice big ones in the packages too so I think stuffed mushrooms will also be on the menu. Strawberries were on sale and looked decent so strawberry shortcake as well. I make a really nice sour cream pound cake so will be doing that to go with the strawberries.

That will be tomorrows dinner.

Tonight is veggie beef soup for hubs but I want broccoli cheese soup.

I best get started on that.

Beef tri tip, potatoes with gravy and sautéed zucchini tonight.

Standing rib roast, baked Yukon gold potatoes, green beans and a Caesar salad.

Left over rice and stir fry. I think by now we all know how I cook.

I just finished making the dough for our homemade pizza tonight...YUM!

We had an early dinner so I wouldn't be grilling in the dark.
It was very tasty and definitely worth being out in the cold for a while.
The stuffed mushrooms came out perfect too!
