Whatcha Making for Supper?

Leftover chicken gumbo-like stuff over rice and a green salad. Last night I saw on some PBS channel a woman from a tribe in Louisiana making gumbo file with shrimp. The Native Americans don’t make a roux, they use gumbo file which is powdered sassafras leaves. I actually have some but didn’t know how to use it. So I’ll get some shrimp and give that a go soon.
