@N F C Love the recipe will try it here tonight was on fence of what to make.
I was just thinking I could omit the brown sugar from that. Thanks for sharing!Sure thing...Ground Beef Mongolian Noodles
1 lb. ground beef
4 teaspoons minced ginger (or more)
6 cloves minced garlic
1/4 Cup brown sugar (if you like it sweeter, add up to 1/2 a cup)
1/2 Cup beef broth
1/2 Cup soy sauce
4 Tablespoons Hoisin sauce
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (or more if you like it more peppier)
10 oz. noodles (linguine, fettuccine or spaghetti)
1 Tablespoon cornstarch
2 Tablespoons water
4 medium green onions, sliced for garnish if desired
In a large skillet, brown the ground beef. Add the ginger and garlic the last 2 minutes of browning the beef.
While beef is cooking, cook the pasta according to package directions (do not salt the pasta water).
Drain the ground beef and return it to the skillet along with the soy sauce, beef broth, brown sugar, black pepper, red pepper and Hoisin sauce. Stir to combine.
Dissolve the cornstarch in the water and add it to the ground beef mixture. Stir and bring to a low boil. After the sauce has slightly thickened, add the drained pasta and stir to combine everything.
Serve hot with a garnish of sliced green onions.
P.S. You can play around with some of those ingredients to make it how you like it. We prefer a less sweet and more spicy version.
I was talked into making beer battered onion rings. Daughter made baked chicken strips, but didn’t follow instructions so they were so so.I’m thinking about Thai curry chicken with riced cauliflower tonight. Rice for the rest of the fam. Might omit potatoes and carrots and use some asparagus.
