Whatcha Making for Supper?

I'm not sure if I have shared this recipe but here goes. Make your taco meat then buy jumbo pasta shells. Boil the shells until just before fully cooked. Drain the shells and add the meat, beans and cheese, put it in the oven until the cheese melts. Remove from oven and build your tacos. It's even better if you have some sauce to roll the shells in before you add everything else. My middle granddaughter tried them the first time I made them and now she almost always asks if I can make them for her. I tend to put a pork roast or tritip in the crockpot with medium Pace picante sauce and sometimes I add some roasted chilli's and tomatoes.

Just a suggestion
Cod and carrots (with potatoes)

It's in my dinner rotation. I usually serve it over egg noodles.
Making a nice lemon sauce for baked cod, with rice pilaf and brussel sprouts. But, thanks for the suggestion. That looks good. Makes me want a nice bowl of beef stew. 😋 Having had corned beef this week, I think I'll save the heavier dishes for another week.

Will not serve or buy previously frozen fish.
Pizza more like a guy wham bam thank you.
Making fish we buy fresh at Costco Rockfish with prawns and fries and acorn squash.
I'm with you on the fish. Must be fresh! Haggen is not much further than Costco and they get some great fresh fish.

That sounds really good!

On the, Give me fresh fish or give me death

Yep. I used to be there, too. And certainly nothing farmed overseas. Then I started noticing where some of the fish at the nearest "real store" to me, Giant Eagle, was labeling some of the fish in their cooler as "previously frozen".
Hmm...
And show me a store that sells crab legs that haven't been frozen. Maybe in AK. Maybe other places, too. But not in my neck of the woods. Heck, even those walleye and perch I had the other night were frozen. Fresh caught by my buddy, but then frozen.

I've learned to adapt to certain things.
But I'm always envious of coastal towns/cities where fresh fish is always available. I'd be in heaven.

And I haven't shopped in there since 2020 anyway. But I do miss stuff like fresh mussels and good cheese.

We actually do have access to fresh fish here in Washington. I realize we are lucky. It is so much better. I'm not as fond of the rock fish as @pennyJo1960 is, but we can often get fresh cod and always fresh salmon. In fact, we occasionally get fresh salmon from our neighbors who fish on this river right here. Penny Jo probably gets that too. She is on the same river, upstream from us.
