I'm expecting it to wake back up and lay a golden egg!Being asked to bring home chicken and coming back with a $27 chicken is such a husband thing to do!![]()
Haven't had split pea soup in forever! Sounds so good!split pea/kielbasa soup and a chicken salad sandwich at the Peasant Grill.
There is a restaurant in California called Pea Soup Anderson's. Best soup I ever had. We would go out of our way to stop there whenever we were on a road trip. Solvang was a frequent day trip from Orange County and there was a restaurant worth adding to that trip.An underappreciated soup.
And it's Oh so good.
Like corn chowder.
Nice memories.Nice.
I still remember being a kid in the backseat after church, and when I got my lunch choice, dad driving about... an hour at that time... to a restaurant in OH. It might have been a truck stop. I was pretty young. And having chicken noodle soup made with kluski noodles.
It's the only noodle I use to this day if I make chicken noodle soup.
Memories.
Soup on a whole is underrated for me. Meaning, I don't make it nor eat it as much as I do like it.
As long as it's thick or has a lot of solids in it.
Ribs for me tonight. On the grill. Which should be a real chore the way it needs rebuilt.
I just slapped together a rub for them and made a quick creamy coleslaw.
I better get to hustling, it's darn near seven here.
